At the recently concluded India Bike Week 2023, Kawasaki launched a new variant of its W175, dubbed W175 Street, at Rs 1.35 lakh (ex-showroom). The Japanese bikemaker has now also slashed prices for the standard W175 by up to Rs 25,000.

  • Metallic Ocean Blue, Metallic Graphite Grey are new colour options
  • Powered by a 13hp, 177cc air-cooled engine

Earlier, Team Green entry-level motorcycle was priced between Rs 1.47 lakh and Rs 1.49 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the colour. With the price reduction, the Kawasaki W175 now costs between Rs 1.22 lakh and Rs 1.31 lakh. Along with the price cut, Kawasaki has also introduced two new colours to the W175 lineup - Metallic Ocean Blue (Rs 1.31 lakh) and Metallic Graphite Grey (Rs 1.29 lakh). They join the existing Ebony (Rs 1.22 lakh) and Candy Persimmon Red (Rs 1.24 lakh) colour options in the range.

Other than that, the Kawasaki W175 remains mechanically unchanged. It’s powered by a 177cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine, which produces 13hp and 13.2Nm. Wheel sizes are 80/100-17 at the front and 100/90-17 at the rear and it rolls on wire-spoke wheels and tubed tyres. It's also still a fairly sparsely equipped motorcycle, sporting a basic halogen headlight and largely analogue instrumentation, with a small LCD digital inset.

As for rivals, the Kawasaki W175 competes with the likes of the Royal Enfield Hunter 350, TVS Ronin and Yamaha FZ-X.
