Flying Flea C6 and S6 test mules spotted
Both bikes are based on a brand new platform internally referred to as the L platform
Less than a year after they were first shown to the world at EICMA 2024, Royal Enfield is out testing its upcoming electric bikes in extreme conditions. The Flying Flea C6 has already been spotted testing in India, but this is the first time both bikes have been spied together.
The C6 is a neo-retro styled motorcycle while the S6 takes on a scrambler theme with a different handlebar, offset instrument console and a high front fender. Both bikes are based on a brand new platform internally referred to as the L platform. A point of distinction between the C6 and the S6 is that the former runs on road tyres with alloy wheels at both ends. Whereas the S6 runs on off-road tyres with spoke wheels. Details are scarce at the moment, but the Flying Fleas are intended to be compact, lightweight urban-oriented runabouts.
Battery and performance specifications have not been revealed. However, Royal Enfield promises sprightly engaging performance and a premium build with judicious use of metals like aluminium all over.
The Flying Flea models are expected to launch in early 2026, with the C6 coming first. Royal Enfield is understood to be focusing on international markets with these products, but they will be sold in India as well. The Flying Fleas may be very compact by RE standards but they will be positioned as premium motorcycles and are likely to be priced between the 450cc and 650cc families.
