The Mahindra Scorpio N Black Edition featuring darkened-out trims will launch on Monday. A close Autocar India source said that the Black Edition, starting with the Scorpio N Z8 variant, will cost Rs 20,000 extra over the regular car. 2025 Mahindra Scorpio N Black Edition: what's different?
Exterior: The Black Edition adds black 17-inch alloy wheels, window trim side moulding and roof rails. Even the otherwise chrome door handles have been dechromed for an all-black look. While the regular Scorpio N is offered in two black colours: Midnight Black and Stealth Black, the Black Edition will be sold with the latter paint only.
Interior: To match the exterior theme, Mahindra has introduced a black dashboard instead of a tanned one. The leatherette upholstery, door trims and roof also have been finished in black.

Mahindra will offer the Black Edition with the Scorpio N Z8 and Z8L range-topping variants only. Both petrol and diesel Scorpio N, including manual and automatic, will be sold after launch with a premium of Rs 20,000 (estimated) over the standard car and the table above can be used as a reference for variant-wise price calculation. For instance, the Scorpio N Z8L AT 4WD Black Edition may carry a price tag of Rs 24.89 lakh upon launch, while the Z8 MT diesel could cost Rs 19.19 lakh.
Mahindra Scorpio N engine, performance
The Mahindra Scorpio N gets a choice of two engines, a 203hp, 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 175hp, 2.2-litre turbo-diesel. There is a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission on offer with both engines, however, only the diesel engine gets the option of 4WD. Considering the minimal price premium, powertrains of the SUV are unlikely to be changed with this new edition.
