The Indian automotive market is expected to see a healthy growth in the vehicle registration department in the month of February-2023. According to the data released by the Vahan, a total of 17,79,706 vehicles were registered in the month of February-2023, compared to 15,37,616 vehicles in the same month last year. This represents a growth of 16 % in the total number of vehicles registered in the country.
The data also shows that the Two wheeler & passenger vehicle segment continues to be the largest contributors to the growth in the total number of vehicles registered, with a growth of 15% & 8% seen in the month of February-2023.
