Ultraviolette F77: price, variants explained.

Ultraviolette Automotive has launched its F77 electric bike in two variants – Original and Recon. Both differ in terms of battery capacity, range, performance and, of course, price. In addition to these two, there’s also a limited-edition F77 that has the highest performance numbers; it will see a production run of just 77 units. Let’s examine each variant in detail.

Ultraviolette F77 Original: Rs 3.80 lakh

The Original features an IP67-rated 7.1kWh battery pack that is good for a claimed range of 206km (IDC). The motor on this variant is also the least powerful, rated at a claimed 27kW of peak power and 85Nm of torque. This translates to a 0-60kph time of 3.4sec, a 0-100kph time of 8.3sec and a top speed of 140kph (claimed figures). The battery pack comes with a standard warranty of 3 years/30,000km, which can be upgraded to 5 years/50,000km. At 197kg, this is the lightest variant of the F77. The Original comes with crash guards and a standard charger, while other accessories like the boost charger are optional. The F77 Original can be had in three colours-black, silver and red.

Ultraviolette F77 Recon: Rs 4.55 lakh

The Recon is the top-spec variant of the series-production F77 electric bike and comes equipped with a 10.3kWh battery pack (IP67-rated), good for a claimed range of 307km (IDC). The motor on the Recon is rated for a claimed 29kW of peak power and 95Nm of torque. The Recon manages the sprint from 0-60kph in 3.1sec, 0-100kph in 8.0sec and has a claimed top speed of 147kph. The battery pack comes with a standard warranty of 5 years/50,000km, which can be further upgraded to 8 years/80,000km. The F77 Recon comes with the same colour options and accessories as the Original variant and tips the scales at 207kg.

Ultraviolette F77 limited edition: Rs 5.5 lakh

Last but certainly not least is the limited edition of the Ultraviolette F77, which is the fastest and most expensive electric bike on sale today. This limited-edition F77 is finished in a bespoke grey and yellow paint scheme and will be limited to just the first 77 units of production, with each bike being numbered. While its battery pack and claimed range are identical to the Recon variant, it has a more powerful motor with a claimed peak power output of 30.2kW and 100Nm of torque. The limited-edition F77 is capable of a (claimed) 0-60kph time of 2.9sec, 0-100kph time of 7.8sec and can go on to a top speed of 147kph. This is the only variant of the F77 to get the fast charger and a warranty of 8 years/80,000km as standard. It also comes equipped with accessories like rear wheel cover and lever guards as standard, over and above the crash guards. The panniers, however, are optional on all three variants of the F77.

All prices mentioned are ex-showroom, Delhi
