The following cars are scheduled for launch in January 2022 in India:

  1. Updated Maruti XL6

Indo-Japanese automaker Maruti Suzuki will launch an updated version of the Maruti Suzuki XL6 in January 2022. The MPV (multi-purpose vehicle) will get some minor design and feature upgrades and there will be 6- and 7-seat layout options. The engine set-up will remain unchanged and you may get the 2022 Maruti XL6 facelift with the same 105hp, 1.5-litre petrol engine paired to 5-speed manual and 4-speed automatic gearbox options.

  1. Tata Tiago CNG and Tigor CNG

Due to the rising fuel price, the demand for CNG cars has increased in India and Tata Motors has used this opportunity to enter the CNG sector with some specific car models. The company has decided to launch CNG versions of its Tiago and Tigor. These cars will have factory-fitted CNG kits along with the existing 1.2-litre three-cylinder engine. Although, its specifications of 85hp and 113Nm of peak torque may be detuned to develop less power when using CNG fuel. This may, however, lead to more fuel efficiency in these Tata cars. 

  1. Audi Q7

The Audi Q7 will be launched in India in January 2022. The SUV will come with certain design changes such as a bigger grille, sportier-looking bumper, redesigned tail-lights, Matrix LED headlights, among others. It is also supposed to have a 3.0-litre petrol engine that is capable of 340hp and a peak torque of 500Nm. The model will also be equipped with mild-hybrid technology. 

  1. Toyota Hilux

Toyota’s Hilux is based on the IMV-2 platform. It will come with a 204hp, 2.8-litre diesel engine and four-wheel drive; this engine produces a massive 500Nm of peak torque. At the front, the car will have a large hexagonal grille, unique swept-back LED headlamps and a more rugged bumper. It will also have a unique, double-cab silhouette. The rear end may look like conventional pickup trucks. On the interior, the dashboard design, steering wheel, and seats may remain the same. It will have features like an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment that’s compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Overall, the interior will be functional and comfortable.   1. Updated Skoda Kodiaq

Skoda Auto, the Czech brand, has launched the updated Kodiaq SUV (sports utility vehicle) on January 10, 2022. The SUV gets a number of cosmetic updates including new headlamps, revised grille and bumpers and sharper tail-lamps. The cabin too gets minor cosmetic changes including a new two-spoke steering. On the equipment front the SUV now packs in more tech than before including dynamic chassis control, heated and ventilated front seats, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay conncetivity, a wireless charging pad and a 12-speaker Canton sound system. The 7-seat SUV is powered by a 190hp 2.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine paired to a 7-speed DSG automatic gearbox and AWD system.
